For our first event of 2020, we invited members of our Blogger Network to MerseyMade for an evening of fizz, canapes a chance to get creative with two of the resident makers.
Opened at the end of 2019, MerseyMade is an eclectic venue in Liverpool that houses 10 artists’ studios alongside a retail space selling everything from jewellery to gin, through to bespoke artwork, greeting cards and crafts all locally sourced from a 50-mile radius of the city.
Following a quick talk from the co-founder of MerseyMade Vicky Gawith, our Bloggers had the chance to get stuck into two crafty classes led by resident artists – flower painting led by artist Jessica Slack and sewing led by Diane from Stitchscape.
Throughout the evening, our Bloggers also got to enjoy delicious canapes from the in-house Gordon Smith Cafe, led by head chef Yasmin Limbert. The menu included Mac & Cheese, Fish & Chips, Fried Halloumi and Scouse, with Salted Caramel Cheesecake for dessert!
At the end of the night, each Blogger also got to take a home a personalised gift bag, filled with goodies from around the store.
MerseyMade can be found on at 98 Paradise, Liverpool and is open daily from 10am. To find out more about their upcoming crafty classes, visit their website.
